Disney photography has gone off the deep end

We ate late at BOG last night, and were escorted to the front of the park after dinner, so we grabbed a family photo in front of the tree.

Family photos are actually somewhat easy now with 3 teens & one twenty-something. I tell them they have to smile for less than 5 minutes, they comply then spend my money.

They gave my youngest a light box to hold. The result, a creepy, poorly lit photo that looks like a horror movie poster thanks to a poorly placed doll on one side. W. T. F. This is peak bad - every family photo this week has been sabotaged by the photographer.

We will try AK for a family photo again tomorrow.

Unfortunately those are really tough conditions and typically PhotoPass photographers aren't allowed to change the settings without approval. If it was after hours, there may not have been anyone to do it. If you email it to me I can see if I can do anything with it in Lightroom/Photoshop to improve it.

I can’t tell you how much I want to see that photo. 😁
Honestly, those are the types of photos that I make into my Lock Screen and just laugh every time I see it.

I take it all back. Now I wish I could unsee that doll!! Yikes! Why is that there? Doesn’t that belong over at Universal for Horror Nights? Did they run out of murdery clowns? Jack Skellington did their decorating this year? (I’d still probably frame it for the kids as a prank, don’t get me wrong.)
Hope you finally got a good one on your next try!

Ugh…. After a whole week, and however much I spent on photopass, the wait for several photopass sessions, we don’t have a single usable family photo. I’m so disgusted. The last photo session from Thursday hasn’t even appeared on our photopass so I’ll have to call and hope that someone can find the damn thing. Looking back, the best photos of everyone are the ones I took with my iPhone…. Which of course I’m not in. One of the reasons I enjoyed Disney is bc the photopass meant I had a vacation photo of the whole family together. This is another layer of disappointment for how poorly ran everything felt last week.

To elaborate, we have two DSLRs and a handful of automatic cameras, but my wife's new iPhone 13 is by far the best camera in the house.
