Theme park parking prior to resort check-in

Art Vandelay

that's a shame
A friend asked and stumped me...

They plan to go straight to a park after flying in and getting a rental car. Will they have to pay for parking since they haven't yet checked in at their resort?

No. The gate agent will scan the MB (or will look at the reservation on the Disney app) and see that the person as a valid resort reservation. I don’t think resorts even give out placards for the car windows anymore.

yep, like @George said your friend is good to go

they consider you a guest of the resort from the early morning of the check-in day until midnight of the check-out day; it's mostly useful for pools (one night at BCV gets you two days at Stormalong Bay) but also applies to theme park parking

as an example: if you resort hop, you have access to everything at both resorts during your transition day
